We hired Jeff Berman in early 2022 to find a suitable location for our doggy daycare business. This was our first foray into the work of commercial real estate. We gave Jeff our size requirements and he began looking. Nothing seemed to fit our requirements. But after searching far and wide, Jeff found a location that was larger than our request and a bit afield from our desired location, but he convinced us to check it out. We were skeptical, but went anyway. It turned out to be a great spot. After a lot of negotiating (again Jeff was invaluable here), we decided to go for it. Jeff was with us every step of the way and was a terrific resource during the entire search. Little did I know that once the lease was signed, the hard part was about to begin. Getting the store ready and open took a year and even though Jeff had completed his part of the deal, he stayed with us.
